Tenda HG1 GPON Single Port Gigabit ONU, ITU-T G.984, 20km

Tenda HG1 GPON Single Port Gigabit ONU

See the Tenda HG1 GPON ONU price in BD on this page. The HG1 is Tenda's single-port optical network terminal for GPON fibre broadband, converting the fibre line from your internet provider into a gigabit Ethernet connection for your router.

Standards-based GPON

The HG1 complies with ITU-T G.984, the international GPON standard. That helps it work with GPON OLTs used by ISPs, subject to the provider's authorisation. If your provider uses EPON instead, choose an XPON ONU such as the Solitine SOL-XP01 or TP-Link XZ000-G7.

Fast fibre rates

• Up to 2.5Gbps downstream
• Up to 1.25Gbps upstream
• Up to 20 km from the OLT
• One gigabit Ethernet port to the router

Simple role in your network

The HG1 does one job well: it terminates the fibre and hands a clean gigabit connection to your Wi-Fi router. Keeping the ONU and router separate lets you choose a better router, such as a Wi-Fi 6 mesh system, without changing the fibre equipment.

Activation

Before connecting a new ONU, contact your internet provider so they can register its serial number on their OLT. Then plug in the fibre patch cord and connect the gigabit port to your router's WAN port.

Reliability tips

Run the HG1 and your router from a mini UPS so your internet stays up during load-shedding. Handle the fibre gently, avoid sharp bends and keep the connector capped when not in use.

Who it suits

Households and offices on GPON fibre connections, and ISPs looking for a branded, standards-compliant single-port ONU.
