Onten OTN-E923 Network Cable Tester and RJ45/RJ11 Cable Tracker

Onten OTN-E923 Network Cable Tester and Tracker

Find the Onten OTN-E923 cable tester price in BD on this page. The OTN-E923 does two jobs. It checks that an RJ45 cable is wired correctly, and it acts as a cable tracker or line finder, helping you identify one particular cable among dozens in a ceiling, wall box or patch panel.

Key features

• RJ45 network cable wire testing
• Cable tracking for RJ45 and RJ11 lines
• Line finder to locate a specific cable in a bundle
• Handy single kit for installers and IT support

Why tracking matters

In many offices, cables were installed without labels. When a port stops working or a desk moves, finding the right cable at the patch panel can take hours. A tracker sends a signal down the cable from the outlet; at the rack, the probe beeps when it is near the matching cable.

Typical uses

• Labelling an unlabelled patch panel
• Finding a phone line at the PABX or distribution frame
• Checking new crimps before installation
• Tracing CCTV camera cables back to the NVR rack

How to trace a cable

1. Plug the transmitter into the outlet or cable end.
2. Move the probe along the cables at the other end.
3. Follow the loudest tone to the matching cable, then confirm with the tester.
