UGREEN NW114 Cat6 Shielded RJ45 Inline Coupler #20390

UGREEN NW114 Cat6 Shielded RJ45 Inline Coupler (20390)

The UGREEN 20390 RJ45 inline coupler is a compact Cat6 joiner with two female RJ45 sockets. Plug a network cable into each side and they behave as one continuous cable, which saves you from buying a new long cable or re-terminating an existing one.

What it is good for

• Lengthening a patch cord that falls just short of a PC, TV or console
• Joining spare cables during office moves
• Connecting a camera or access point cable to an extension during installs
• Temporary links for testing and troubleshooting

Shielded Cat6 build

The metal-shielded body helps keep out electrical noise from nearby power lines, adapters and appliances. Rated to Cat6, the coupler supports gigabit networks easily and up to 10Gbps over short, good-quality runs. It accepts both shielded and unshielded RJ45 plugs.

Plug and play

It needs no power, drivers or tools. Insert the plugs until they click, and the connection is ready. Because it is passive, it works with any device using standard RJ45 Ethernet: routers, switches, PCs, NVRs, IP cameras and printers.

Choosing between 20390 and 20311

UGREEN sells the NW114 under more than one item number for different packs or finishes. Both are Cat6 shielded couplers with the same function, so pick whichever suits your setup or is in stock.

Installation tips

Keep the total cable length under 100 metres for gigabit Ethernet. Use one coupler per run where possible, since each joint adds a small signal loss. For permanent wall runs, a keystone jack and faceplate give a neater, more durable finish.
