Key Features

• Cat6 U/UTP construction with four twisted pairs
• 23 AWG solid bare copper conductors
• 250 MHz bandwidth, 1 Gbps up to 100 meters
• LSZH jacket that is flame retardant and RoHS compliant
• PE central cross separator to reduce crosstalk
• 305 meter pull box
• Complies with ANSI/TIA-568 and ISO/IEC 11801

Why Choose an LSZH Jacket

An LSZH jacket gives off less smoke during a fire than a standard PVC jacket. Hospitals, schools, offices, data rooms and public buildings often specify LSZH cabling for this reason, so check your project specification before choosing between PVC and LSZH.

Performance

The cable carries 1 Gbps data rates up to 100 meters and, according to the product information, 10 Gbps over shorter distances when network conditions allow. Solid conductors are made for permanent runs to wall outlets, patch panels and switches.

Before You Buy

Use Cat6 keystone jacks and patch panels suited to solid cable, and keep each run within 100 meters. The orange colour is commonly used to mark LSZH or special-purpose cabling, but check with your installer. Pricing is per 305 meter box.

Warranty

Star Tech lists this cable as having no warranty. Confirm terms at purchase.
