Why choose a long backup model

A standard rack UPS carries a small internal battery set that covers short outages. In places where the power cuts last for hours, you need a larger battery bank. The EH55-H3KRS leaves out the internal batteries and adds a stronger charger so that large external batteries can be recharged in reasonable time. Batteries are bought separately, and the amp-hour rating you choose sets the backup time.

Input, output and protection

The UPS accepts 110V to 300V AC input at 50/60 Hz and delivers a regulated 208/220/230/240V AC output with ±1% accuracy. The load runs from the inverter at all times, so surges, dips and frequency changes on the mains never reach it, and the transfer to battery takes 0 milliseconds. In AC mode, overloads are carried in stages, for example 30 minutes at 102 to 110% load.
